Aren’t you wondering who we are? Well, you’ve come to the right page! Together, we are three Portland transplants in our mid-20s. We enjoy exploring and finding awesome Portlandy things to do and drink. Read on below!
K: K is not here right now, please leave a message after the BEEP!
Update: K is a lazy bag of shit and can’t take five minutes to log on and write three freaking sentences about his beer preferences. This shall remain here until he finds this secretive and hidden message!
Current favorite: Miller High Life (not really but bah ha ha!)
Thanks, B…you’re such an awesome friend! By the way, are you ever gonna drink those four Bud Lights in the back of the fridge? You bought them…
B here, ok, ok, K, you caught me! I confess to the Craft Beer Gods that I, B, do in fact have four Bud Lights in the fridge. They have been there about a year and a half and I am too ashamed to say anything more on the matter. Please accept my sincerest apologies Craft Beer Gods, and K for giving you shit (although someone has to do it). Please allow me to partake in craft beer goodness soon without stigma or (too much) judgement on my past bad drinking decisions. Love, B.
Anyway, here I am! A geek who has lived and worked all over the country, my tastes are varied. I tend to like the middle of the spectrum; lagers, browns, and porters are my favorites, although I will definitely drink a wheat beer when you buy one for me (Yes, by reading this, you have agreed to buy me a beer. Sorry, too late to go back now!) Like B, I’m not the biggest fan of hoppy beers, but occasionally find one I like (see “the most drinkable IPA” on the Dictionary page). If I’m not drinking beer, you’ll likely find me with a Gin & Tonic in my hand.
Current (actual) favorite: “Snickers” – 1/2 Rogue Hazelnut Brown Ale, 1/2 Rogue Chocolate Stout
N: Former farm-boy, current programmer. I read a lot of weird stuff. Ever tried to read all of Wikipedia? Well me either, but somehow I’ve still almost managed it. I like hoppy beers (hey, one of us has to like the obligatory Oregon hops, eh?) and malt. Good dark beers are wonderful and ESBs are a routine favorite. I can usually stand some hefes but sometimes they are a bit too fruity. Spiced beers are somewhere in the middle of my preferences while sour beers are definitely on the “rarely to never” end of the spectrum.
Current favorite: Stickmen Calibration Pale Ale
Stuff I keep up with:
B: I was born on the Oregon coast but grew up in Idaho. I am currently attending a graduate program for Counseling here in Portland. I enjoy ciders, fruit beers, wheats (mostly hefeweizens), chocolaty and fruity porters and stouts, and the occasional low IBU pale ale. I am not a fan of a lot of hops and really despise barrel aged beers.
Current favorite: Two Town’s Incider
